Yesterday was a very long day. I did a very light upper body work out with Rusty. I had to start sometime and yesterday seemed like a good day to start. It did feel good to use those muscles I've been favoring for the last couple of weeks. Dr. Livingston said to just let pain be my guide.
I had my doctor's appt first thing in the morning then worked in the office until 5pm. We had a work related dinner after work. I ran home, changed my clothes and got everything ready (lunch, clothes etc) for the next day. I then went to rehearsal.
Sehara was at Tom's all day since I know it would be very late before I got home. I picked up Sehara after rehearsal and fell into bed last night. I was very tired and I am sore today but it is manageable.
You will probably be sore today. It's really not fair that after you torture yourself for years with exercise, a couple of weeks off and your body had forgotten all of it and protests with gusto. Actually, your body may not be too happy with you at all right now!!! Did she talk to you about energy foods to keep up your strength, etc? Or, I guess Rusty probably did. You have been through so much. You don't want some cold germ to get the best of you. Take care!

ReplyDeleteIt is very easy to over do it. You know that - so dont push yourself too hard. Our bodies do bounce back, however, they need tender loving care to do that. Be careful

ReplyDeleteIt is very nice to see you at the office again! I would tell you not to overdo it but it seems several others have mentioned that! Did you know there is a room inside one of the bathrooms that has a couch in it? You could use that for short rests during the day if you don't have time to go home. If you don't know where that is I would be happy to show you where it is. It could just be a nice resource to know you can use should you want to!
ReplyDeleteI knew I was pushing it yesterday. I am paying for it today but I'll make it through. I'll be home by 6pm and in my PJ's by 6:30. My PJ's and I have a special relationship at the moment. I still have healthy left overs so I will have a good dinner and will be in bed early. I'll be all refreshed tomorrow.
